Roof and house washes

Preserve your warranty and peace of mind.

Washing your roof and house may seem like the least urgent item on your to-do list, but it’s one of those things that will bite you in the back if you don’t get it done often. Forgetting to wash your roof can incur unexpected amounts of damage over time.

Our warranty policy urges customers to get a roof wash every 6 months to preserve your roof repair warranty.

Let us help you with your to-do list.

The Above Focus team can schedule you in for recurring house washes every 6 months to give you peace of mind.

Handling the clean yourself?

Here are our expert tips.

Don’t

  • Don’t put your life at risk to shave a little off the budget. Get harnessed up and wear a helmet in case of a fall. Roof work is dangerous, especially on steep roof profiles.

  • Don’t clean on a sunny day. Your chemical solution will evaporate off of your roof before it can do its job.

  • Don’t use a pressure washer. You run the risk of causing damage to your roof.

Do

  • Be safe. Clean your roof only if you know you can safely walk on it. Wear a helmet, and if possible, harness yourself in. If your roof is very steep, hire Above Focus to get the job done safely.

  • Plan to wash your roof on an overcast day with no threat of rain.

  • Use a garden hose (rather than a pressure washer) connected to a mix of chlorine bleach and water.

“Cam provided a quote the same day as I first contacted him, together with advice about the priority of the issues to be resolved. Completion of the work itself was a high-quality experience. The Above Focus team were good to have on site and the quality of work has been excellent. Cam’s communication throughout has been a real standout, and we’ll definitely look to get him and his team back for more roofing projects in the future.”
